Women Empowered For Tomorrow NFP was founded in 2006. The not for profit organization receives funding from private donations, fundraising, and grants.The goal of the organzation is to focus on young African American students of outstanding promises who seek to become positive role models.
The Willie Richardson scholarship is in memory of a dearly beloved father; Mr. Willie Richardson was a highly intelligent, and sophisticated dresser, and a family orientated man who encouraged education to the fullest. Mr.Richardson lost his battle to cancer in 2006, and his family would like to continue his legacy. Purpose
The scholarship is given to seniors in high school who have been accepted to an institution of higher learning and are experiencing financial difficulty in meeting educational costs. Eligibility In order to be eligible for this scholarship, a student must have been personally affected by cancer. Please write an essay of 500 or more words stating how cancer has personally affected your family, and include your career goals for the future. The scholarship is given to seniors in high school. Fill out and submit your application to be considered for a scholarship. |
